Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the conservation town of Moffat, my recent four-night stay at Queensberry House was an absolute delight. Our hosts, Caroline and Miles, extended a warm welcome, providing us with an abundance of local insights that transformed our trip into a memorable experience. Each morning, we indulged in a generous full Scottish breakfast served in the bright and airy dining room, a perfect start before exploring the surrounding hills and local attractions. The comfortable en-suite provided all the amenities we needed, including fresh milk for our tea, which was a lovely touch. With Edinburgh Airport just a short drive away and ample free parking, this tranquil haven serves as an ideal base for discovering Scotland's captivating countryside. I highly recommend Queensberry House for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat, excellent hospitality, and a taste of the local culture.
